About The Position
Under the general supervision of a licensed physician, the Physician Assistant evaluates and treats patients with medical and/or surgical problems and assists in the delivery of emergency care within the scope of emergency medicine practice. This role involves performing routine histories and physical examinations, as well as performing and/or interpreting diagnostic tests and/or procedures as detailed in the department specific scope of practice. The Physician Assistant delivers direct patient care and may also participate in training, recruiting, quality assurance activities, and other administrative roles and/or functions as requested by department leadership.
Requirements
- Licensed Physician Assistant
- Ability to practice under the general supervision of a licensed physician
- Ability to practice within the scope of emergency medicine practice
- Ability to perform and/or interpret diagnostic tests and/or procedures as detailed in the department specific scope of practice
