About The Position

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is proud to offer an Emergency Veterinarian training program called EmERge. Our EmERge program helps you obtain the skills and the confidence that you need in order to be a successful Emergency Veterinarian at one of our state-of-the-art hospitals. The program is designed to give veterinary school graduates the necessary training to become successful Emergency Veterinarians. It is a full-time job from the very beginning, and we will prepare you for your first solo emergency shift at one of our BluePearl hospitals. The program combines online modules, interactive seminars, labs, mentoring, and hands-on practice experience. Not only will you receive valuable training from experienced Veterinarians, you will also be paid a salary from your first day.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited veterinary school.
• Individual with a sincere interest in becoming an Emergency Veterinarian.
• Current Veterinarian looking for a career change.

Responsibilities

• Complete a combination of virtual and in-person training to build foundational emergency medicine skills.
• Gain exposure to various specialties to enhance understanding and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
• Apply training in a real-world setting under the mentorship of experienced emergency clinicians.
• Manage more complex cases with greater independence while still receiving guidance from mentors.
• Work full shifts in the ER, developing critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Handle a variety of emergency cases to broaden expertise and build confidence in emergency medicine.
• Take on full responsibility for managing emergency cases, showcasing confidence and competence in clinical decision-making.
• Collaborate with the hospital team to provide exceptional patient care while honing leadership and communication skills.
