About The Position

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is proud to offer an Emergency Veterinarian training program called emERge. Our emERge program helps you obtain the skills and the confidence that you need in order to be a successful Emergency Veterinarian at one of our state-of-the-art hospitals. This position will be split between our Skokie and Northfield locations. The BluePearl EmERge Program is designed to give veterinary school graduates the necessary training to become successful Emergency Veterinarians. It is a full-time job from the very beginning, and we will prepare you for your first solo emergency shift at one of our BluePearl hospitals. The program combines online modules, interactive seminars, labs, mentoring, and hands-on practice experience. Not only will you receive valuable training from experienced Veterinarians, you will also be paid a salary from your first day.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited veterinary school.
• Sincere interest in becoming an Emergency Veterinarian.
• Current Veterinarian looking for a career change.

Responsibilities

• Complete a 14-week bootcamp to build foundational emergency medicine skills.
• Participate in specialty rotations to gain exposure to various specialties.
• Apply training in real-world settings under mentorship.
• Manage more complex cases with increased independence.
• Work full shifts in the ER, developing critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Handle a variety of emergency cases to broaden expertise.
• Take full responsibility for managing emergency cases in the final phase.
• Collaborate with the hospital team to provide exceptional patient care.
