About The Position
The role of the Physical Therapist at Elliot Health Systems is centered around delivering high-quality rehabilitative services in an outpatient setting. The position is based at the Rivers Edge Outpatient Rehab clinic, which is part of a network of eight clinics in the greater Manchester area. The clinic specializes in various rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, with a focus on orthopedics, neurological conditions, pelvic floor issues, vestibular therapy, geriatrics, pediatrics, and oncology. The clinic has received accolades such as the Union Leader Readers' Choice "GOLD" Medal for 2022 and is recognized as a DNV Orthopedic Center of Excellence, ensuring that patients receive top-tier care. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients. This involves conducting thorough medical record reviews to identify areas of focus, contraindications, and precautions before patient evaluations. You will develop a prioritized plan of care that includes both short- and long-term rehabilitation goals, collaborating closely with patients and other healthcare team members. Regular updates to treatment plans and effective communication with referring clinicians are essential components of this role. In addition to direct patient care, the Physical Therapist will provide clinical supervision to therapy assistants and rehabilitation aides, ensuring the effective implementation of rehabilitation plans. The position also emphasizes professional development, with opportunities for mentoring new graduates and participating in ongoing clinical education programs. After a year of successful practice, therapists are expected to take on the role of clinical instructors for students every 18-24 months, further contributing to the growth of the profession.
