You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, respond to alarms and calls for service, and support store teams and guests with strong customer service and clear communication. This role requires an armed guard license and a valid driver’s license, and it rewards agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

• Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience OR a college degree.
• Have security experience of 5+ years.
• Have an Armed Guard Card/License.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Have Level III Armed Certification, Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
• Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and applicable laws, using sound judgment and de-escalation techniques when possible.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales floors, entrances, loading and receiving areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disorderly conduct.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store management and/or local law enforcement and medical resources as needed.
• Complete incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to the appropriate contacts in a timely manner.
