About The Position

Xylem is seeking a skilled and experienced Elite/Lead Field Service Technician to initiate and execute field service activities at customer sites in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This advanced role involves working with complex systems, including mechanical, electrical, and diesel-powered equipment, and supporting multiple systems, locations, or client accounts. The technician will interact directly with customers, escalate technical issues when necessary, and lead or mentor less experienced team members. We are looking for mechanically inclined professionals who are passionate about hands-on work and problem-solving. If you have experience in HVAC, electrical systems, diesel mechanics, control systems, or industrial equipment—and are driven to lead by example in the field—this could be the next step in your career. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Eligibility to obtain a TWIC card
  • 5–7 years of technical experience, preferably in industrial or commercial process water systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices
  • Strong customer service experience
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of control systems (e.g., PLCs)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in HVAC, electrical systems, diesel mechanics, control systems, or industrial equipment
  • Technical military background

Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain a safe working environment and safety-focused culture throughout the organization
  • Properly handle and care for company property
  • Work with advanced, multi-system, and/or complex technical systems
  • Proactively troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
  • Identify and resolve safety issues involving both company-owned and customer-owned equipment
  • May be responsible for supporting multiple systems, locations, or customer accounts
  • Escalate issues as needed and engage appropriate internal resources to resolve personnel or customer concerns
  • Provide coaching and training to entry-level technicians
