Job Description As a Elite Armed Security Officer - Military/Law Enforcement Experience in San Antonio, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively patrol retail locations to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. This role requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and support a culture of teamwork, integrity, and care while contributing to a secure shopping experience.
Requirements
- Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5 years of armed security-related experience.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents and/or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns according to Allied Universal protocols.
- Assist store staff and patrons by providing information and support as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.
- Document all security-related incidents, observations, and activities accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as required during incidents or emergencies.
