The Senior Manager of Primary Patient Access is a strategic leader responsible for driving compliant, efficient, and high‑quality patient access operations. This role partners closely with the Director to shape policies, procedures, and the operational work plan while overseeing day‑to‑day performance, service standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor on audit, quality, and operational risk matters while leading change that strengthens outcomes for patients, providers, and partners.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience required
  • Strong background in quality, audit, compliance, and operational efficiency
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet multiple deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive‑level presentations
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, manage employee relations, and build a high‑engagement culture
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and change‑management capabilities
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Primary Patient Access operations, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards
  • Own enterprise audit readiness and execution, including complex audits and regulatory inquiries
  • Lead research, root‑cause analysis, and issue resolution for complex operational challenges
  • Drive department‑wide change management initiatives, including process improvements and technology adoption
  • Partner with the Director to develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational work plans
  • Manage daily work volumes and service standards to ensure operational excellence
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Clinical Operations, IT, Compliance, and external partners to resolve issues and optimize workflows
  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert and thought leader for Quality Review and Audit initiatives
  • Provide counsel to senior leadership on quality, audit findings, operational risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting to support data-driven decision-making
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor team members, fostering accountability, engagement, and professional growth
  • Lead and support special projects and enterprise initiatives as needed
