In this role, the Eligibility Specialist will engage with applicants, participants, and landlords, particularly those with limited English proficiency, coordinating translation services as needed. The specialist will perform administrative tasks such as verifying documentation for eligibility criteria, sending correspondence to applicants, and maintaining accurate records in the SHA's database. Additionally, the specialist will conduct income certifications, re-certifications, and reasonable accommodations, ensuring compliance with program guidelines. The position also requires participation in briefing sessions, preparing contracts and vouchers, and identifying overpayments of assistance due to non-compliance with program regulations.
