APPLICANTS MUST BE PERMANENT IN THE ELIGIBILITY SPECIALIST CIVIL SERVICE TITLE. DSS-AO is responsible for protecting the integrity of social services programs administered by the NY City DSS and ensuring that DSS complies with all statutory, regulatory and contractual standards. The Income Clearance Program (ICP) is responsible for the processing of various computer matches which indicates income or resources received by Cash Assistance (CA), Non-Cash Assistance and mixed household participants. The computer matches are designed to reduce fraud, ineligibility/error levels for both Cash Assistance and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). ICP interacts with other programs, City and State agencies including, Management Information Systems (MIS), Medical Insurance and Community Services Administration (MICSA), the Administration for Children Services (ACS), the NYS Department of Health (NYSDOH) and others to coordinate and reconcile these possible discrepancies.
