Be the first point of contact for prospective applicants and patients, offering compassionate support and guidance. Ensure the seamless admission of new patients into health services with precise data processing and coding for insurance billing. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with some medical knowledge.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of medical billing experience preferred.
  • Training or background in ICD-A / CPT codes preferred.
  • Ability to understand bookkeeping and accounting terminology.
  • Ability to operate computers and office machines.
  • Must work under pressure.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct eligibility assessments for clients following specific program procedures.
  • Ensure clients do not have another payer source before proceeding.
  • Register clients into the CPCDMS and complete all necessary paperwork.
  • Perform data entry of eligible clients into the electronic system.
  • Maintain up-to-date and orderly eligibility files.
  • Conduct renewal eligibility assessments as required.
  • Confirm eligibility appointments with clients and set initial service appointments.
  • Provide clients with a list of required eligibility documentation.
  • Participate actively in the Performance Improvement Program.
  • Demonstrate respect and promote effective working relations as part of a team.
  • Attend all required safety training programs and operate equipment safely.
  • Maintain work area according to Legacy standards and follow exposure control plans.
  • Travel for training and coverage as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
