About The Position

The Eligibility Specialist Associate provides an advanced level of customer services and support to Human Services staff and clients. The position is hybrid, with an in-office and a remote work component allowed based on business needs. The schedule is flexible: starting at 4, 10-hour days with the option to shift to 5, 8-hour days.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certificate required.
  • Minimum of one year's work experience in a high-volume, administrative environment.
  • CBMS experience or ability to navigate complex computer systems and databases is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a role where accuracy is extremely important.

Responsibilities

  • Review applications for completeness, data entry into complex computer program (CBMS) and a workflow management system to initiate application and start renewals in preparation for Eligibility Specialist.
  • Triage incoming work to appropriate individuals for processing and be responsible for scanning incoming work and uploading documents into our workflow management system.
  • Research case files on audit list, locate case files, review for information required, copy case files and communicate with staff in numerous areas to assist in file location and preparation.
  • Work processing returned mail requiring research in complex computer systems, outbound calls, and data entry.
  • Co-manage overall lobby workflows, ensuring appropriate documents are available to the public, making referrals to appropriate services and assistance available in the agency and community.
  • Alert staff of walk-in customer requests for face to face contacts, answering general questions, providing documents, guiding customers to appropriate kiosks & information windows.
  • Identify and report medical accommodations or needed translation services for customers to designated supervisor.
  • Assist customers with applying online, scheduling program interviews, checking in for appointments and other general lobby navigation and tasks.
