Responsible for conducting face-to-face interviews with patients to determine eligibility for assistance or government aid related to healthcare. Ability to relay information of varying benefits as related to patient’s services at Hamilton Medical Center. Facilitates the submission of applications for medical financial assistance. Interacts with federal agencies to aid in determining available services. Ability to relay client responsibilities, rights and program availability. Evaluates consistency and completeness of data and where indicated substantiates its accuracy.

  • Facilitating the submission of applications for medical financial assistance.
  • Interacting with federal agencies to aid in determining available services.
  • Relaying client responsibilities, rights and program availability.
  • Evaluating consistency and completeness of data and where indicated substantiates its accuracy.
  • High School graduate or GED supplemented with additional training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Minimum one to two years’ experience in social public administration, or human services; community outreach preferred, required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interviewing techniques such as data collection and investigation.
  • Professional ethics related to confidentiality.
  • Proven intermediate proficiency with Word, Excel.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must enjoy working with people & problem solving to ensure a high degree of satisfaction with delivery of services.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule including some weekends and evenings, if needed.
  • Bilingual desired, but not required.
