Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• One year of customer service experience with public contact is required.
• Experience in an environment interviewing clients and gathering personal information is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, apply, and explain detailed regulations and policies.
• Basic arithmetic skills and proficiency in using computers and office software.

Nice To Haves

• Sixty semester or ninety quarter hours from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Experience in retail, call center, clerical, hospitality, banking, or similar customer service roles.

Responsibilities

• Interview applicants and recipients to obtain financial and personal information for eligibility determination.
• Evaluate data from various sources and enter information into a computer-based eligibility system.
• Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility determinations.
• Process work in accordance with state and federal regulations and established procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working overtime and weekends when required.
