About The Position

As an Elevator Superintendent at Central Valley Ag, you will be responsible for proper grain storage, conditioning, blending, loading, unloading and practicing good housekeeping practices.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • One to two years’ experience in a related field required. Proven history of delivery of results required.
  • Takes responsibility for the way money and resources are used and managed.

  • General mechanical ability required.

Responsibilities

  • Helps ensure that all location facilities and equipment meet all Federal, State and OSHA regulations.
  • Performs grain receiving, sampling and grading.
  • Assures proper grain storage and condition.
  • Efficiently operates grain dryer.
  • Responsible for completing by-monthly grain inventories and reconciling variances.
  • Blends grain for proper loading.
  • Maintains good housekeeping to reduce chance of fire or dust collection.
  • Greets and assists customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Performs general maintenance duties involving location property, facilities and equipment.
  • Plans, assigns and directs work of subordinates.
  • Completes performance appraisals, rewards employees, disciplines employees, addresses complaints and resolves employee problems in conjunction with the division heads.
  • Other duties as assigned.
