Usual shift hours: Shift starting and ending times may change at times as required by the needs of the business. This position requires an 11pm – 7am shift Monday thru Friday as well as some weekend work on occasion.  Elevator Operators are primarily responsible for operation of loading and unloading of semi-trailers or rail cars, filling in paperwork for inventory control on a daily basis, cleaning and grading of raw grain or malt as needed, barley and malt transfers, sanitation of associated areas, space fumigation, and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must successfully pass OSHA required pulmonary and fit testing for full face respirator mask, and pass State required knowledge test for 7.2 space fumigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in food plant sanitation and GMP are preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Enter into plant operating system commands for product transfer.
  • Position semi-trailers or rail cars, sample, do quality check on product, program operating system, and unload semi-trailers or rail cars
  • Position semi-trailers or rail cars, inspect/clean hoppers, program operating system, and load semi-trailers or rail cars
  • Operate cleaning and grading line and perform quality checks on finished product.
  • Perform grain transfers, charge steeping bins, take off kiln malt
  • Operate various equipment, i.e. Trackmobile, skid steer, snow blower, etc.
  • Perform confined space duties
  • Perform all requirements of 7.2 space fumigation
  • Sanitation as assigned and necessary to maintain GMP standards.
  • Any other jobs deemed necessary by management for the efficient operation of the Manitowoc Facility, and/or other operations owned by Briess Industries Inc.
