About The Position

Senior Elevator Service Technician A fast-growing independent elevator company in the Atlanta market is hiring a Senior Elevator Service Technician to support an expanding service portfolio. This role is for an experienced technician who can troubleshoot independently, handle complex repairs, and represent the company professionally in the field. What You’ll Do Advanced troubleshooting on traction, hydraulic, and MRL systems Diagnose complex and intermittent issues without OEM support Perform preventative maintenance focused on reliability and code compliance Complete complex repairs on doors, machines, controllers, and safety circuits Communicate clearly with customers, property managers, and internal teams Serve as a technical resource for junior technicians Respond to emergency and after-hours calls as scheduled What We’re Looking For Senior-level elevator service mechanic experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across multiple equipment types Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and controller logic Solid knowledge of ASME A17.1, OSHA, and local codes Ability to work independently with minimal oversight Clean driving record and background Preferred Experience Familiarity with GAL, Motion, SmartRise, MCE, Otis, Schindler, KONE, and similar controllers Experience mentoring or training other technicians Non-union experience a plus, not required Compensation and Benefits $35–$55 per hour based on experience Two weeks paid vacation plus paid holidays Health, dental, and vision insurance after 90 days 401(k) after 90 days Why You’ll Like It Here Non-union environment with real autonomy Leadership that understands field work Growing service base and long-term stability Advancement opportunities as the company expands Must have a clean driving record

Requirements

  • Senior-level elevator service mechanic experience
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across multiple equipment types
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and controller logic
  • Solid knowledge of ASME A17.1, OSHA, and local codes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Clean driving record and background

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with GAL, Motion, SmartRise, MCE, Otis, Schindler, KONE, and similar controllers
  • Experience mentoring or training other technicians
  • Non-union experience a plus, not required
