About The Position

D&D is a part of American Elevator Group (AEG) company, a collection of well-established elevator service companies operating across the United States. Backed by Arcline Investment Management, AEG has a significant footprint in the elevator industry and is rapidly growing. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to work in the NYC Metro area (Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Bronx). In this role, you will be providing monthly service to our customer's elevators ensuring that the equipment is functioning properly. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctioning systems, repairing or replace defecting parts.

Requirements

  • Successful candidates will possess 4+ years of experience as a Route Mechanic with the ability to read wiring diagrams/blueprints, technical manuals and/or related technical documents, experience adjusting, testing and repairing hydraulic and traction elevators and providing preventative maintenance of equipment while following established safety, maintenance and/or testing procedures with the ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
  • You must have a valid driver's license.
  • OSHA , NYS and NYC Elevator Mechanic License required

  • CET is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for inspecting elevators of all types and makes, determining the cause of faulty operation, making repairs and adjustments, and troubleshooting problems.
  • Ability to diagnose deficiency of equipment and make recommendations for major changes or requirements.
  • Install, maintain, and repair elevators, escalators, and other lifting equipment
  • Knowledge and ability to analyze and repair failures, especially in emergency situations.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues.
  • Repair or replace defective parts.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • Respond to emergency repair calls in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to building owners and occupants.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
