About The Position
The basic purpose of the Elevator Inspector I is to ensure safe operation of elevators and related machinery. The general duties and responsibilities of this position are to inspect and test elevators, dumb waiters, moving walkways, sidewalk elevators, hoists, lifts, escalators and related machinery for compliance with laws; approve plans for the installation of and conduct practical tests on these devices; issue certificates of inspection; and perform related work as required.
