About The Position

The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Eglin Air Force Base, FL in the Natural Sciences Program. Specifically, we are seeking faculty who can teach both of the following courses: Elements of Nutrition (NUTR 100) and Our Environment: Human Impact and Sustainable Choices (NSCI 362). The Elements of Nutrition course focuses on the scientific and quantitative foundations of human nutrition, while the Our Environment course examines the impact humans have on the global environment and strategies for sustainability. The role involves engaging students through frequent interaction, guiding them in collaborative learning, providing constructive feedback, and demonstrating subject-matter expertise. Faculty members are expected to connect concepts across the academic program and provide feedback on curricular improvements.
