Position Overview: Windham Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and student-centered Elementary School Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students. This educator will be committed to differentiated instruction, collaboration with colleagues and families, and maintaining high expectations for student success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Valid New Hampshire Elementary Education certification, or eligibility to obtain certification
  • Strong knowledge of elementary instructional practices and child development
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and data-driven decision-making preferred
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a charter school or innovative educational setting
  • Familiarity with multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
  • Experience collaborating with education staff and implementing accommodations
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across core content areas, including literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and developmental needs of all students
  • Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect and responsibility
  • Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor student progress and inform instruction
  • Collaborate with grade-level team members, special educators, and support staff to meet student needs
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and staff meetings
  • Implement classroom management practices that support student engagement and positive behavior
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and required documentation
