The Elementary Teacher (K–5) is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering high-qualityinstruction to students in a private school setting. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification or eligibility for certification
- Knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in core subject areas, including English LanguageArts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
- Create a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technology tools
- Assess and monitor student progress using formal and informal assessments
- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote positive student behavior
- Support students’ social, emotional, and character development
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progressand classroom updates
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, faculty meetings, and school events
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff
- Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and expectations
- Participate in ongoing professional development
- Help lead innovative learning activities that promote children’s development and growth
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
- Monitor children’s progress and development
- Create a harmonious environment where children and fellow teachers enjoy coming to each day
