The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to elementary students across multiple subject areas. This role plays a crucial part in fostering academic growth, social development, and lifelong learning skills in students. Additionally, the teacher may collaborate with other educators, attend department meetings, and participate in school-related events and exhibitions as part of their responsibilities.

  • Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans that align with state standards and educational objectives.
  • Teach a variety of subjects, including English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, using a variety of instructional strategies and resources.
  • Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, and use data to inform instruction and provide targeted support.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation, collaboration, and critical thinking.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively, establish routines, and reinforce positive behavior expectations.
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, academic goals, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary units, team-teaching opportunities, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills, stay current with educational trends, and contribute to ongoing school improvement efforts.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a relevant field.
  • Additionally, they should hold state teaching certification in Elementary Education.
  • The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in elementary education curriculum standards and instructional strategies.
  • They should also possess strong content knowledge in core subject areas, including English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.
  • Prior experience working with elementary students in a classroom setting is required.
  • Furthermore, candidates should have knowledge of assessment techniques and data analysis to inform instruction and track student progress.
  • Effective classroom management skills are essential, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Candidates should be able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student learning and academic success.
