Position Summary: Responsibilities: Demonstrate the ability to plan, model, deliver, and develop rich, standards-based, student-centered learning experiences Identify and apply relevant educational research-based instructional strategies Develop engaging and differentiated lessons, assignments, and assessments Utilize relevant technology and resources for optimal engagement and differentiation Manage student behavior through positive behavior interventions and support Support social-emotional and character education strategies to facilitate student development in self and social awareness and responsible decision-making Provide timely, appropriate, and actionable feedback to students Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies Engage in research activities to further the school’s mission and to generate advancements in teaching and learning Maintain and utilize accurate and comprehensive documentation and evidence of students' progress and development Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs Participate and engage in professional learning experiences that support professional growth and collaboration with colleagues Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in K-6 or valid Florida Department of Education Statement of Eligibility in K-6

  • Knowledge and experience in implementing workshop-style of instruction
