About The Position

The School District of Clayton is seeking a highly qualified Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The District has a rigorous curriculum that requires creative instructional strategies to build a strong foundation of learning. Balanced Literacy is a component of our elementary curriculum as well as an inquiry approach to Science and Social Studies. We seek teachers that have solid math content knowledge, are able to communicate and teach for conceptual understanding of mathematics, and use effective pedagogy. Our district values the ability to work with diverse students and colleagues; success in creating inclusive classrooms; and experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required
Successful candidates must be proficient in mathematics and writing. An assessment will be given to ensure proficiency.
Missouri teacher certification, with required endorsements for subject and level assigned.

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree preferred.
