About The Position
Dixon Montessori Charter School is a WASC accredited public school enrolling students in grades TK-8th grade. We are a site based school program serving over 470 students under the authorization of Dixon Unified School District. At DMCS, we blend core components of the Montessori philosophy (Kindergarten thru 3rd) with a Project-Based Learning Style (4th thru 8th grades) to create a dynamic, hands-on learning approach. All Montessori and Project-Based curriculum is aligned to the Common Core State Standards, and gives the students a well-rounded exposure to the many ways of learning. The Upper Elementary Grade Teacher will work under the general supervision of the Executive Director and other Administrators, providing a classroom program that supports and promotes the Mission and Vision of DMCS for the success of all students. This position directly supports student achievement of the California State Standards for the 4, 5, or 6th grade.
