About The Position

As an elementary teacher at TMSA, you’ll guide our youngest scholars on exciting learning adventures, foster a love of reading, math, and discovery, and help them build the skills they need to thrive. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited university (conferred)
  • Certification/Licensure Must hold or be eligible to hold a Georgia teaching certificate in the applicable field
  • Experienced in collaborating with teacher teams and adapting instruction to meet the needs of students and colleagues
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to use technology effectively for instruction and communication
  • Organizational skills and initiative with the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and experience using technology for data analysis, instructional planning, and presentations
  • Working knowledge of current research, best practices, and resources in elementary education
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requirements

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all Teacher Keys Effectiveness System (TKES) standards
  • Provide content-related and age-appropriate instruction aligned with TMSA’s curriculum programs
  • Integrate technology creatively to enhance student learning
  • Nurture a safe, positive, and academically rich classroom environment that promotes curiosity and active learning
  • Apply performance-based instruction and assessment techniques
  • Communicate responsibly and effectively with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and school leadership
  • Facilitate home–school communication through conferences, phone calls, emails, and written correspondence
  • Collaborate with parents/guardians in all aspects of the student’s educational program
  • Adhere to all SPED, SST, 504, and IEP plans and accommodations
  • Prepare thoroughly for instructional responsibilities during absences
  • Maintain accurate student attendance and punctuality records
  • Follow all county, state, and federal policies and procedures
  • Uphold professional ethics and contribute positively to school culture
  • Support TMSA’s goals, initiatives, programs, and processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Assistant Principals
