About The Position
Position: 4th / 5th Grade Teacher Assistant Reports to: Principal and Assistant Principal Bridges Public Charter School is dedicated to providing an exemplary educational program that includes all students. Our developmentally appropriate, student and family-centered educational approach nurtures students to expand their developmental skills, building a foundation for life-long learning. We are seeking passionate educators to build an inclusive Pk-5 school community. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality, universally designed instruction and will be eager to learn about and implement Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies for our diverse student community. This role is crucial in creating a culture of inclusion and respect, and we invite dedicated educators to join our team to make a difference in the lives of our students. As a Bilingual Elementary Teacher Assistant, you will work closely with the Lead Teacher to plan and manage classroom activities, support the creation of engaging lessons, and assist in teaching core subjects such as reading, math, science, and social studies. You will also be responsible for assessing student progress, collaborating with special education service providers, maintaining classroom records, and facilitating a safe and nurturing environment for students. Your role will involve engaging with parents and families, contributing to the school culture, and participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and effectiveness as an educator.
