About The Position

BASIS Baton Rouge Materra is seeking qualified candidates for a 3rd Grade Elementary Teacher for the 2024/2025 school year! As a BASIS Ed Elementary Learning Expert Teacher, you will utilize your expertise in learning to address the differentiated needs of your students. In collaboration with Subject Expert Teachers, who handle the main instruction in the classes, you will not be burdened with preparing multiple lessons every day. This structure allows you to focus on the individual results and needs of your students, enhancing their ability to learn effectively. BASIS Elementary Teachers are knowledgeable and passionate about transforming education. Our K-3 (or K-4, depending on campus location) classrooms are co-taught with two elementary school teachers working together with students at all times. As a Learning Expert Teacher (LET), you will cultivate a joyful learning culture where hard work is celebrated, and intellectual pursuits lead to extraordinary student outcomes. You will customize education to meet the individual needs of each student, ensuring that every child receives a world-class education. Our teachers celebrate the art of elementary education, guided by the belief that any child can excel. In this role, you will be responsible for one cohort of students, leading them through classroom transitions during the day. You will collaborate with the Subject Expert Teacher (SET) for each class period and utilize your expertise in elementary education teaching methods to provide individualized or small group instruction. Establishing and maintaining standards of student behavior will be essential to achieving a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
