The Elementary Teacher (2025-2026 Pool) at North Campus is responsible for planning and using appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, equipment, and technology that reflect an understanding of the learning styles and needs of students. The teacher will present subject matter according to guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency, board policies, and administrative guidelines. This position requires managing a classroom environment, effectively communicating and teaching on one or more subjects, and following school procedures. The teacher will monitor each student's progress and provide extra mentorship to those who need it, enforce school rules, and encourage good student behavior. The role involves teaching core concepts such as numbers, letters, shapes, and colors through creative, hands-on methods of learning. The teacher will plan a curriculum that addresses early childhood education requirements and work with students individually to help them overcome specific learning challenges. Patience, compassion, and energy are vital qualities for success in this role, as the teacher will inspire, encourage, and develop young children with varying abilities and challenges.
