About the position

Soap Lake Elementary School is seeking passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher's to join our team on a full-time basis. Elementary Teachers are responsible for delivering educational content to students in kindergarten through sixth grade, fostering their academic, social, and emotional development. The role involves creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver lessons in core subjects such as reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies, aligning with Washington State's educational standards.
  • Regularly evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs.
  • Establish and maintain effective classroom routines and rules to ensure a respectful and productive learning environment.
  • Work closely with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to plan and implement interdisciplinary lessons and school-wide initiatives.
  • Engage with parents and guardians through meetings, conferences, and written updates to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing training and workshops to stay current with educational best practices and state requirements.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in elementary education (K-8) or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsements required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in classroom technology and educational software.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills.
