Elementary STEAM Specialty Camp Teacher - Certified The Kirkwood School District is hiring an Elementary STEAM Specialty Camp Teacher to support the Summer Steam Program. Summer programming is paid for a 7-hour day, which includes 6 hours of school + prep/plan. There will be additional planning/professional learning time before the start of and during summer school, not to exceed 8 hours. Elementary certification is required. Two teachers will work together to plan and implement a 5-day thematic summer experience centered on an aspect of STEAM. The theme and all activities are teacher-determined. What is your passion area? Something you have always wanted to teach? An aspect of science or Idea Lab that you would like to expand? Coding, Robotics, Sustainability, Weather, Space, Art, Animal, etc.. The sky is the limit! A field trip could be part of the experience Transportation will be available to students living more than 1.5 miles from the site Lunch available Teacher assistants and A+ student volunteers will be available to support classroom teachers throughout the day.
