Nodaway Valley Community School District is seeking an energetic and student-centered professional to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year as an Elementary Special Education Teacher. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about working with elementary school students, particularly those with special needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters the academic and social development of students with various disabilities. The role requires a commitment to understanding each student's unique needs and adapting teaching methods accordingly to ensure that all students can thrive in their educational journey. The Elementary Special Education Teacher will work closely with other educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements. This includes assessing student progress, modifying instructional strategies, and providing direct support to students in both one-on-one and group settings. The teacher will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of student performance and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that students receive the necessary resources and support.
