Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Valid Tennessee Teaching License with the appropriate Special Education endorsement (Required)
• Prior experience in special education practices and supporting students with behavioral and emotional disabilities

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree and High-Qualified (HQ) status (Preferred)
• 2+ years of teaching experience, particularly within an urban or charter school setting (Highly Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), including the assessment of present performance levels and the coordination of all required special education and related services.
• Provide high-quality, specialized instruction designed to meet the specific goals and objectives of an elementary instructional resource caseload.
• Schedule and lead team meetings, working cooperatively with child study teams and service providers to develop holistic instructional strategies and interventions.
• Create a developmentally appropriate learning environment using various teaching techniques and behavioral principles to support students with diverse emotional and instructional needs.
