Position Overview: Design and implement individualized lessons within a self-contained setting to meet diverse academic and functional needs. Lead a dedicated caseload, drafting Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), tracking progress, and facilitating annual review meetings. Maintain a structured, supportive environment using evidence-based behavioral and social-emotional strategies. Partner with parents, therapists, and general education staff to ensure integrated services and necessary student accommodations and modifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid South Carolina Certification in Multi-Categorical (ED, MD, EMD, or TMD/Severe also accepted)
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged students
