About The Position

JOB GOAL: To develop, instruct, and collect data on students in the areas of education, behavior, and social skills. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is Nine and one-fourth (9.25) month contract (190 days), plus a benefits package. NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based on experience and LRSD’s salary placement guidelines. FLSA: EXEMPT . TEACHER SALARY SCHEDULE Such alternatives and additions to the above qualifications may be deemed appropriate by the Superintendent. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Implements individual educational goals and objectives. Collects data on students’ progress. Meets with classes as assigned. Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Current Arkansas certification in Special Education.
• Evidence of successful experience in working with students at risk.
• Evidence of ability to work well with others.
• Experience in implementing non-aversive behavioral programs and social skills training.
• Evidence of strong writing and organizational skills.
• Evidence of ability to implement Individual Education Plans.
• Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education.
