Position Overview: Assess student needs and develop individualized learning plans, goals, and instructional strategies tailored to the Elementary level. Lead the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), adapting curriculum to ensure student success in the Least Restrictive Environment. Partner with general education teachers, school administrators, and families to support student inclusion and facilitate smooth transitions into inclusive classroom environments. Maintain meticulous documentation of student growth and provide consistent, transparent communication to families regarding academic and behavioral milestones.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Valid California Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Moderate/Severe) (Required)
  • Active English Learner (EL) Certification or equivalent endorsement (Required)
  • Prior experience implementing special education best practices within a team-based school environment
