About The Position

An exciting opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to step into a resource role at the elementary level during a maternity leave assignment this fall. Requirements

• At least a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an LBS1 endorsement.
• Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher or in a similar setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals.
• Track and document student progress to ensure compliance with district and state requirements.
• Create a structured and positive classroom environment that supports academic and social growth.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to ensure continuity of support.
