About The Position

KIPP Jacksonville Schools seeks a passionate science teacher for our elementary grade levels. The science teacher will lead daily science instruction rooted in Florida science standards and projects across multiple grade levels. Science instruction in kindergarten through fourth grade will supplement other core academic areas. This is a full time position and will work closely in our existing specials department which includes P.E. and other specials classes. As a specials teacher, they would see students across multiple grade levels and be responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with our families, and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their School Leader.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification in Elementary Education K-6
  • At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom

  • This role will only be eligible for instructional stipends if they have their FLDOE certification.
