About The Position

Meet all requirements as called for in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (building policies, procedures and regulations, and attendance standards) Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with district and state standards in core content areas (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies). Foster a positive classroom climate that supports student learning and models respect, responsibility, and cooperation. Use a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technologies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students. Utilize formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress. Collaborate with other staff members, including specialists and interventionists, to support differentiated instruction and individual student needs. Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians about student progress, behavior, and classroom activities. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and other required documentation. Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), staff meetings, and ongoing professional development. Create and maintain a safe and organized classroom environment. Implement school-wide behavior expectations and support positive student behavior management techniques. Uphold school policies and procedures and demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of the role.

Requirements

  • Valid Illinois state teaching certification for grades K-4 (or appropriate elementary licensure)
