About The Position
The Hollister School District is seeking a teacher for students in Transitional Kindergarten through 6th Grade. The role involves providing learning experiences and instructing pupils in various subjects including pre-reading, reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, art, health, physical education, and music in a classroom setting. The teacher will utilize an adopted course of study, program guides, and a variety of other materials in developing lesson planning and teaching outlines. A variety of teaching methodologies will be employed, including subject matter instruction, demonstration, lecture, and activity participation. The teacher will also utilize specialized educational equipment, materials, books, and learning aids. Responsibilities include teaching citizenship and other mandated subjects, preparing instructional materials, evaluating student progress, and providing individual and group instruction to enhance students' mental, social, and emotional growth. This position reports to the site Principal at Cerra Vista School.
