Position Overview: Conduct comprehensive psychological and behavioral assessments for elementary students to determine eligibility for special education services, evaluating intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning. Facilitate the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process by participating in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee, interpreting data, and assisting in the development of appropriate placement and measurable goals. Deliver direct and indirect intervention services, including creating psychological reports and behavior plans, and conducting individual, group, and family counseling. Consult with teachers, staff, and parents on the interpretation of assessment data and the effective implementation of psycho-social and behavior management interventions.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Psychology
  • Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or possess a Trainee Status Letter issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
  • Skilled in assessment, IEP implementation, and therapeutic outcomes evaluation
