About The Position

Elementary Principal Burlington School District is looking for highly professional & educational leadership for the 2026-2027 school year at the middle school for PreK-4th grade students, with unquestioned personal integrity, a proven record of success in developing collaborative relationships that result in academic excellence, a commitment to continuous improvement of student learning, and a belief that all students can learn and be successful. Burlington School District is on a 4-day week from Monday - Thursday and is an amazing place to work, our class sizes are small and our teachers work together to meet the needs of all our students. We value hard work and high standards of excellence. We have 3 schools and serve around 700 students PK-12. We offer a family health insurance fully paid by the district. Responsibilities

  • Development, implementation, evaluation and improvement of curriculum and assessment program
  • Commitment to students, professional ideals and ethical standards in pursuit of educational excellence
  • Implementation of high standards and strategies appropriate to the needs of students served
  • Support of the mission, core values and goals of Burlington School District
  • Demonstrates high expectations for all students and staff and provides support required to attain high expectations
  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for students, staff, and families
  • Leader of building and district professional development
  • Conduct classroom observations to analyze instruction, and supervise staff to ensure continuous improvement in teaching and learning
  • Evaluation and supervision of staff
  • Manage all building level discipline
  • Collaboration with Data Team
  • Reports to Superintendent of Schools
