Requirements

• A passion for teaching early learners and supporting diverse needs.
• A degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
• A valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in small-group or self-contained special education settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze student data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, goals, and classroom activities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals and district standards.
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes engagement, consistency, and independence.
• Provide differentiated instruction to meet the academic, behavioral, and social needs of students in a K–1 Cross-Categorical setting.
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff to support inclusive practices.
