About The Position

Winchester Public Schools seeks an experienced, dynamic educator with outstanding professional and interpersonal skills to lead John Kerr Elementary School. The successful candidate will possess the experience and skills to lead the instructional team, engage the entire school community, and build a strong school culture. The school offers the division's Early Childhood Special Education Programming.

Requirements

• Possess a Virginia Postgraduate Professional license (or ability to attain) with an endorsement in educational administration.
• Minimum of three years of successful administrative experience at the school level with experience at the elementary level preferred.
• The position requires outstanding personal and professional characteristics; dynamic and proven leadership in a high achieving elementary school; ability to work effectively with school personnel and members of the community; superior writing and speaking skills; strong instructional knowledge and demonstrated leadership in the management of instructional programs; and a master at team development to achieve results.
