Join Our Team as an Elementary Music Teacher! Are you passionate about music education and shaping young minds through the power of music? St. Lawrence School in Milbank, SD is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. As a Music Teacher at St. Lawrence School, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students from Pre-Kindergarten to 6th grade in the art of music.

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission of St Lawrence School to educate the whole student; mind, body and spirit
• Develop and implement engaging music curriculum for elementary students that incorporates the Catholic Faith
• Teach students the fundamentals of music theory, vocal skills, and various musical instruments
• Plan and conduct regular music classes, and rehearsals
• Organize and lead performances for weekly school Mass, events and concerts
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into cross-curricular activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
• Teaching certificate or license in music education, or able to obtain
• Experience working with elementary school students
• Strong musical abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
