About The Position

St. Lawrence School in Milbank, SD is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. As a Music Teacher at St. Lawrence School, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students from Pre-Kindergarten to 6th grade in the art of music.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field
• Teaching certificate or license in music education, or able to obtain
• Experience working with elementary school students
• Strong musical abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Promote the mission of St Lawrence School to educate the whole student; mind, body and spirit
• Develop and implement engaging music curriculum for elementary students that incorporates the Catholic Faith
• Teach students the fundamentals of music theory, vocal skills, and various musical instruments
• Plan and conduct regular music classes, and rehearsals
• Organize and lead performances for weekly school Mass, events and concerts
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate music into cross-curricular activities
