About The Position
To provide academic support for students requiring extra help in the areas of reading and mathematics. Instruction and support will be in small groups or with individual students working in collaboration with the classroom teacher and specialist. Assist in the assessment and monitoring and documentation of assigned students. Participate in appropriate professional development and training in the area and components of literacy support.
Requirements
- CT State Certification preferred.
- Proficient in working in focused, time-efficient and organized manner.
- Experience in literacy/mathematics work with small groups and / or one on one instruction.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work collaboratively with literacy specialist and classroom teacher.
- Experience preferred.
