Kamehameha Schools is searching for a Librarian to support our elementary division. In accordance with our campus identity of Oiwi Edge, our primary focus is to develop students who identify as strong oiwi Hawai‘i leaders, and demonstrate the mindsets, attitudes, knowledge and skills articulated in E Ola!, Kamehameha Schools' long-term learner outcomes. Given this charge, we are actively developing our collective identity as oiwi-serving educators with a strong command of indigenous education practices aligned to our Oiwi Edge Learning and Teaching Expectations; educators who are well prepared and equipped to ensure all learners achieve the standards outlined in E Ola! The ideal candidate should have a deep passion for promoting the academic success and overall well-being of Native Hawaiians. As a member of a learning team or Kauhale, this individual will provide direct services to students who require additional intervention or enrichment services, primarily in literacy and mathematics, and oversee an afterschool enrichment program. We are seeking someone who can access oiwi Hawai‘i educational resources, e.g. moolelo, mele, oli, print and non-print text, and expertise within our kaiaulu, and who can provide general literacy and math support for a variety of learners. This position works Monday - Friday, 7:45am - 4:00pm.
