About The Position

This is a Short Term Job Posting for the 2025 - 2026 School Year 190 Day Contract Rio Rancho Elementary School Minimum Qualifications: Highly Qualified Elementary Licensed teacher Level IIIA teacher or Masters degree Minimum of 5 years exemplary experience in elementary teaching Strong knowledge of CCSS and curriculum development Leadership experiences in professional development Understanding of the vertical articulation process and professional learning communities Understanding of the NM RtI Framework and SAT Strong technology, communication and training/presentation skills Evidence of data-driven decision-making skills Highly organized Strong facilitation and collaboration skills Flexible Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective organizational ability; Professional written and oral communication skills; Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding students, staff, parents, and school matters. Essential Job Responsibilities of Elementary Instructional Coach: Support full implementation of CCSS and supporting instructional materials Collaborate with district and site instructional coaches to support RRPS curricular initiatives Support ongoing development of assessments and curriculum documents Support instructional materials adoptions Support the analysis and study of assessment data Provide professional development and coaching assistance Assist teachers in implementing the appropriate technology. Evaluate and coordinate professional development as needed for teachers Support district and staff administration in implementing district initiatives. Research and provide content knowledge and resources to staff about learning and teaching to include: instructional practices, assessment design, RTI, and differentiation Research and provide information and guidance regarding a range of effective and innovative practices through various activities such as coaching sessions, lesson study, and PLC team meetings An instructional coach will work with secondary teachers, PLC teams, and instructional leaders in implementing best assessment and instructional practices and create professional development opportunities to improve student achievement for RRPS secondary students. Travel between school sites is expected. Other duties as may be assigned by Supervisor Work Hours: Work hours are established in the employment contract. Additional work hours may be assigned by the School Principal or Executive Directors of Elementary Curriculum and Instruction of Federal Programs.
