Assist with the creation and implementation of a strong, research-based curriculum that supports the development of literacy, social studies, daily schedules, etc., for 2nd-5th grade students. Create and provide staff development, collaborate with teachers, and advise campus staff on the implementation of the Reading/Language Arts and social studies TEKS and the district curriculum. Support campus staff with the alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment through data analysis, planning, modeling lessons, training, and consulting. Establish a professional learning community (New Teacher Academy and District Model Teacher program) that supports the growth and development of new Reading / Language Arts teachers. Plan for and support the integration of technology in all curricular areas. Provide training, coordination, and assistance with the implementation of all literacy programs and/or additional initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinator of ELAR Curriculum for 2nd – 5th grade. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
